NITTANY LION BATTALION CADRE

The members of the Cadre at Penn State University, Main Campus, have a combined total of over 200 years in service, with the average time in service being 17 years. The Cadre is composed of Active Duty and Reserve Component Officers and Non-Commissioned Officers from many different branches, including Infantry, Field and Air Defense Artillery, Logistics and Aviation, among others. All Cadre Advisors and Instructors are considered "Ph.Ds" in their respective fields, with all having served in combat (some in multiple tours). Additionally, some members of the Cadre have served in humanitarian and peacekeeping missions. All have served at multiple posts, including posts in the United States and Overseas.
